  • Melbourne Metro College will use online ACSF mapped LLN assessment tool to conduct a LLN test (https://llnrobot.com.au/)
  • If students do not meet English and LLN requirements, students will be provided with appropriate strategies to assist them with their learning including:
  • Flexible scheduling and delivery of training and assessment
  • Providing the student with extra language/LLN assistance during class time; or
  • Advising students to enrol in a language and literacy course to develop his or her skills to an appropriate standard, eg ELICOS (See LLN support in Student Support Section)

Course Duration

The qualification is delivered over 52 weeks comprising of: 

  • 4 terms of 10 weeks each (40 weeks total).   
  • Holiday breaks amounting to 12 weeks (as specified in the timetable) 

Students are required to attend 20 hours of classroom training per week.  

Homework is expected to be approximately 5 hours a week.

Yes. The CHC43121 is a nationally accredited training package. It is recognised by employers across Australia, ensuring your skills are transferable across all states and territories.

Yes. Under current visa regulations, international students can work up to 48 hours per fortnight during academic terms and unlimited hours during scheduled breaks. Many of our students find part-time work as Disability Support Workers while they finish their studies.

We provide Language Literacy Numeracy (LLN) assessments before you begin to identify any unmet needs. Our trainers offer reflective feedback and additional sessions to help you master medical and legal terminology.

The total duration is 52 weeks. This timeframe consists of 40 weeks of active study and 12 weeks of scheduled holiday absence.
